Maui Financial Chance, Inc. is the receiver of a $150,000 award for a refreshing food voucher plan that will help the Native Hawaiian local community through the Workplace of Hawaiian Affairs COVID-19 Influence and Reaction Grant.
“‘Ai Hua will enable to reinforce and reinforce Native Hawaiians’ ʻohana and the overall health of the lāhui,” in accordance to MEO.
With the $150,000 OHA award, MEO will supply vouchers to Native Hawaiian families who were affected by COVID-19 that can be used at area farmers markets to purchase area fresh fruits, veggies and protein meals. The application will reward both equally the Indigenous Hawaiian families who obtain the vouchers for the generate, and the neighborhood farmers who expand the solutions for the farmers’ markets.
The software time period is for a single year, beginning Nov. 1.

The purpose of the ‘Ai Hua plan is to provide the Indigenous Hawaiian lāhui in alignment with the strategic foundations, directions and results of the 15 yr Mana I Mauli Ola Strategic Program. This project is sponsored by the Business office of Hawaiian Affairs, working to enhance the lives of Indigenous Hawaiians.
